We’re excited to announce the latest addition to The Barden Party's family, the wonderful Lizzie Tollemache!
Our General Manager role is in extremely capable hands. Lizzie's a theatre-making mastermind and we couldn't be more proud to have her on board!
Get to know a bit more about Lizzie here:
In 2014, Lizzie co-founded Rollicking Entertainment Ltd, making theatre that wove together circus, illusion and sideshow to tell New Zealand stories.
She created, produced and toured nine original shows with the company including Mr and Mrs Alexander: Sideshows and Psychics, The Dunstan Creek Haunting and The Messy Magic Adventure children’s trilogy. Rollicking’s shows toured theatres and festivals throughout NZ, Australia, Canada, the UK and the UAE, until 2020 when Lizzie became the Associate Director of Centrepoint Theatre.
She spent two years growing the theatre’s arts outreach and community activities, running the youth company and directing shows before returning to independent artist life in 2022. With a passion for new work and ideas, Lizzie is an in-demand collaborator known for her integrity, vibrancy and astute observations.

In addition to The Barden Party, Lizzie can be found writing, directing, dramaturging, performing, hosting events and sitting on the steering committee of the Aotearoa New Zealand Circus Association.
